On Sunday the 8th September 2024 Carl Cox tore the roof off iconic London venue the Roundhouse. Supported by longtime friends and exemplary artists in their own right, Jon Rundel and Christopher Coe, fans were treated to a masterclass in techno from start to finish.

Jon opened the night and set the mood perfectly, soundtracking the beginning of the evening with moody and percussive techno to slowly build the energy and set the tone. Christopher Coe then took over and performed a two-hour live set which glided across the large spectrum of techno and glued everyone to the dance-floor until it was time for Carl Cox to come and do his thing.

Fast forward to 9pm and it was time for the main event. Until this point a central design piece courtesy of Rebel Overlay  had remained hidden - dormant in the ceiling of the venue, only to lower dramatically on a Kinesys system to illuminate Carl as he embarked on his Hybrid Live set featuring his original productions, forward thinking techno and dance floor classics all masterfully intertwined for new and lifelong fans alike. It was truly a special moment in Carl's Cox's stomping ground.

Show Designer Spencer Heron, LD Will Potts, & Visual Artist Dan Winchcombe  did a fantastic job at making the most of the space, illuminating the performing artists without making them feel too separate from the crowd. The system at the Roundhouse was tuned to perfection for this style of music and it sounded loud and crisp whether you were at the bar or front of stage.

All in all it was a roaring success of an evening with flawless in terms of both production & performances, and the full dance-floor and rapturous applause at the close of the evening was proof of this. Carl remains untouchable in the world of techno.
